Finally! Something different :)
After having butter chicken for lunch, I thought it would be best to go the salad route for dinner.
Definitely a good choice – and something different and delicious for dinner.
And healthy!
It’s going to be a rough next week, but I’m really, really hoping we can be mostly done by then.

Happy Leap Day
I always find it funny that anytime I proclaim to the world that The Cowboy and I had a stupendous day that things get grumpy right after. I don’t get it, but it’s usually true.
Thankfully things turned around this morning for us. Not for my client (arg) but for us.
Food is definitely lackluster – and meals are also lacking in beer. Today definitely needs more beer……Sadly there is no beer to be had while working.
23 days until spa…
Read MoreBest Intentions
I tend to start the week with the best intentions of awesome posts.
Like: taking pictures on my phone of the wine tasting even The Cowboy and I went to on Friday. Instead, I drank too much wine, puked, woke up at 6am, spent 13 hours shooting a wedding, went to bed, woke up, went to work (ON A SUNDAY) and never did take any photos/video of my kittens for Miss A (sorry – I promise I will, but it might not be for 2-3 weeks! Work. It’s kickin’ my arse!)
But – with all the working (I’m looking at a 19 day in a row streak (if you count the wedding) things are good.
Yes, I’m tired. Yes, my condo is a mess (we did spent an hour cleaning at 10pm on Sunday to get it presentable) but things are good.
The Cowboy and I are talking and communicating and even both being hungover and tired (and a l’il bit cranky) at the wedding, we did really, really well. I’m pleased.
The kitteh’s are wonderful. Total besties.
They hide away at night (most nights) until my alarm goes off at 5:45, then they hope on the bed to cuddle until I drag myself out of bed between 6:30 and 6:45.
My goal is to survive to March 9th. After that, my audit work on this client should be done and I hopefully won’t have to work that weekend. The Cowboy is at a photography conference Fri, Sat, Sun, so I’m looking forward to couching it (and cleaning) all weekend!
May I also say how great of an idea it was to book a spa vacation immediately after busy season?! I’m certain I’ve mentioned it before, but it really is getting me through. Especially since I have TWO massages booked
I have no dinner post from Monday night – I left early so The Cowboy and I could go to our counseling session. It was…..okay. I’m not certain if we like or click with the counselor, but we have another session booked for March 19, so we’ll see.
I did; however, buy dinner tonight. It’s looking like a long night (I’m planning on staying until 10ish) so I needed some good, healthy fuel. And a cookie. Always a cookie
See?! Cookie. Mmmmmmm.

Creature of Habit
I think it’s becoming glaringly obvious that I like routine.
I think I’ve had variations of the same thing for dinner everyday this week: salad, drink main.
What can I say? I like predictability. And I really don’t deal well with change. At all.
After working until 11pm last night I had a ridiculously productive day today, so I’m feeling much better about the state of things than I was yesterday. I’ll still have to work my arse off to get it done, but I actually think we might be able to meet our deadline!
Tomorrow The Cowboy and I will be taking a break from working late and our going to a wine tasting! All tastings and food are included – I’m very excited! I have to be sure to not drink too much though, as we’re shooting a wedding on Saturday

Meetings, Meetings, Meetings
I hate the feeling of being busy and running about yet having absolutely nothing to show for it. All day I’ve been running about but have barely had a chance to respond to emails or do any actual work.
*sigh*
I’m hoping to make it a productive night. Most of my staff will be leaving at 8, so I’m fueling up for a long one so I can actually get some work done! While answering questions is good (and valuable) it results in me not getting my work done!
Burning the candle at both ends for sure!
I got the sandwich grilled this time, so hopefully it isn’t soggy!
Caffeine to fuel for a late night!
A bribe for working late! No, I didn’t cheat, if I buy it for the client it’s not cheating, right?!
