Fresh Start Challenge – The Past Week
Only 7 days left in September! Craziness!
Although I haven’t been posting, I sure as heck have been taking pictures – okay, for the most part I’ve been taking pictures. I missed last Friday and this Monday – but they were certainly new outfits.
I’ll spare boring y’all with more whining about how busy I’ve been and get straight to the pictures
Day 16 – Friday
Day 17 – Saturday
*whomp whomp*
No picture.
The husband has a few random pictures of me in a hat – that should tell you it was a new outfit
I very rarely wear hats.
Day 18 – Sunday
Happy 6th anniversary to The Cowboy!!!!!
I looked hot in sweatpants
Day 19 – Monday
Another no picture day.
I was in a training course from 8-4 and at an event from 4:30-9 so I completely forgot to take a picture when I walked in the door at 9:30pm. I wore a pencil skirt. Since I haven’t worn one yet this month = new outfit!
Day 20 – Tuesday
For Tova & Lauren, this is my blanket sweater. It’s basically a square with sleeves and is pretty much the best thing ever!
Although it was 25+ degrees out all week my training room was freezing so I wore sweaters in class and roasted on my walks home.
Day 21 – Wednesday
These pictures were taken as The Cowboy and I were heading out the door to see OVO on Wednesday, hence the jeans. Also – comfiest ponch EVAH! This will be reappearing a LOT during the winter
Day 22 – Thursday
Dress, leggings, sweater = comfy and cute!
Day 23 – Friday
HOORAY WEEKEND!!!!!

Fresh Start Challenge – Day 15
Guess who completely forgot to take a picture yesterday?!
Yup.
Whoops.
I can assure you that it truly was a new outfit. If I remember, I’ll throw it on when I get home and take a picture for the blog. I was just so tired when I got home all I wanted to do was throw on my Lulu’s and sit on the couch. After I changed I was way too tired to put my clothes back on for a picture.
I was up at 6am for a 7am dentist appointment today, so I made sure to lay out my clothes the night before. This way I knew I was wearing a new outfit AND I was able to ensure that my clothes would match
It may be warming up to 24 degrees today, but it was only 5 degrees when I left my house and I was in a cozy sweater mood last night.

Fresh Start Challenge – Day 13
There are some days when I feel like dressing up for work, and some days when I wish I could just show up in sweatpants.
Luckily for my coworkers, today was one of those (rare) dress up days.
I ordered a dress from BCBG off of HauteLook a few weeks ago and it arrived yesterday. When I ordered it I wasn’t entirely confident it would fit – lucky for me, it did and I didn’t have to worry about what I would wear to work today

Fresh Start Challenge – Day 10, 11 & 12
Why yes, I have been busy, why do you ask?
Maybe because I disappeared for 3 days without posting my outfits. Could that be it?
For some reason I have a really tough time blogging on weekends. Probably because my weekend have been so freaking busy as of late. Let me tell you – this isn’t going to change anytime soon. Nopers. Certainly not in the next 4 weeks, but I promise to do my best to prove to all 3 readers that I’m wearing a new outfit every day
Saturday
Sunday
Weekend wear was pretty casual. Definitely casual on Sunday. All I did Sunday was mark exams and go to the Farmer’s Market. Perfection. Well……perfection minus marking assignments for 6 hours, but there’s not much I can do about avoiding that!
Saturday I went to Spruce Meadows with Tova and her husband. Spruce Meadows is probably one of my most favourite places on earth, but not everyone shares my love of horsies. Luckily, Tova and David indulged me
(and The Cowboy even watched an entire show on TV with me on Sunday too – I think he secretly likes the horsies).
Monday
The weather cooled off enough today that I was able to wear one of my new sweaters
I’ve been saving them as I don’t want to wear all my cozy sweaters in one week and be stuck without cute clothes for the rest of the month – but I decided today was the day. Paired my glasses that match my shoes (oh yeah, I planned that!)

Fresh Start Challenge – Fitness Week 1
The fitness portion of my month long challenge has gotten off to a bit of a rocky start.
First off, my injury certainly doesn’t help me any. Having a bum shin and a 21.1km race in 4 weeks kinda sucks. I’m going my best to manage it in the hopes I’ll be able to at least finish the race and not do too much damage.
Thursday (Sept 6)
P90x – Shoulders and arms followed by Ab Ripper X.
I still hate Tony Horton, but decided to do my best to stick it out. It was a good workout and I know I need to up my strength training.
I was pretty disappointed that I wasn’t sore on Wednesday morning though. Guess I’ll need to up my weights for week 2!
Wednesday (Sept 7)
The Cowboy and I had a late dinner reservation with friends, so I had lots of time to get a good workout in. After taping my shin all day it felt okay so I ventured down to the treadmill (I wasn’t feeling running in 30 degree weather and didn’t want to get stranded due to an injury a few kilometres from home) and made it 20 minutes (or 3.2km) before I had to give it up.
Apparently taping my shin isn’t helping…..
I did walk to our dinner reservation as well – it worked out to be about a 4km walk, so at least I did something.
Thursday (Sept 8)
Back on the P90x bandwagon.
Thursday was legs and back. I had never done this workout before because I started off on the wimpy P90x back in the Spring. Let me tell you, that one HURT!
Friday (Sept 9)
The Cowboy and I had plans to go to Spruce Meadows for an event starting at 7:30, so I did nothing
I had planned do to a P90x workout, but decided to take a rest day instead. Whoops.
Watch out for pictures of horsies coming next week
Saturday (Sept 10)
I had an appointment with my chiropractor in the morning for my legs, so I discussed my shin issues with her. Seeing as I have a race in 4 weeks (and I skipped one this weekend because of my injury…boo!) I wanted to make sure that I would be in shape to train and race for the remaining 4 weeks.
So worked the heck out of my shin! I wouldn’t let The Cowboy touch it for days! Although I was given the okay to run on Saturday, I gave it the day off
Sunday (Sept 11)
I also gave myself Sunday off.
Wait – does walking around the Farmer’s Market count as exercise? If so NAILED IT!

Here’s hoping week 2 shapes up a bit better than week 1

Fresh Start Challenge – Day 9
FRIDAY!!
There’s something about Friday that’s just so refreshing and wonderful. I ended up hitting snooze until 7am and still needed to shower so the morning was a tad bit rushed. I also made the horrible mistake of straying from my tried and true overnight oats and picked up a breakfast sandwich. Ten minutes after eating and I can feel my blood sugar going wonky. I have a feeling a snack will be in order soon.
The rushed morning meant for a rushed outfit, but it’s still an original! Even better in that I can wear it when The Cowboy and I go to Spruce Meadows for a few hours this evening. I’ll also be there tomorrow with Tova and her husband, so there should be lots of horsie pictures up on the blog. One day. You know when I actually get my act in gear and start posting pictures from the summer.
