Sequined Monday

I really, really didn’t want to wake up to go to work today.

Not at all!

So I chose an outfit that would make me feel good about myself, and what does that better than something sparkley?!

I also (on a whim) decided to dye my hair black yesterday and I’m LOVING it. I missed a few spots, so I need to buy another box and touch up, but for $30 in total, I’d say it’s a good investment.

As much as I like sleeping in until 8am and Bailley’s in my coffee, I’m glad to be back at work and have a bit of a routine. We have company until tomorrow, but I’m hoping to be able to go to some early gym classes (since we finally purchased a gym pass) and meet my twice a week gym goal (don’t forget the push ups and sit ups!).

One of “those” days

Pardon me while I whine a bit this morning.

It’s only 9am and it already feels like one of those days. Not for any reason in particular, just because.

I hate those days; always such a downer.

I still have a bit of a hangover from my migraine yesterday (blech) and I’m just not feeling it today.

I even decided to be fancy and wear red (yes, red) pants to work today in the hopes that it would brighten my mood. Instead, I’m questioning why in the world I thought it would be a good idea to wear red pants.

sigh

Tuesday is definitely not my day.

I keep telling myself I just have to make it to Friday.

Make it to Friday and I’ll have 2 whole weeks off. Two blissful weeks off work.

Then I think about all the work I have to do in the next four days combined with finishing off grocery shopping and Christmas goodie making (thank goodness we got the tree up last night!) and I freeze.

Because it’s all just too much.

I feel like I’m so far behind at my job after quitting and coming back.

I feel like I did myself a disservice. I’ve already been told that in order to be promoted I have a lot I have to improve on, and I’m just not sure how to get there. I’m not.

And so, today is one of those days.

I hope this feeling will pass by tomorrow.

Wrinkled Friday

Ahhhhh.

Once again, Friday. :)

Unlike last Friday, I’ll actually be working and productive this Friday. Although I may leave a teeny bit early so I can get some Christmas shopping done for The Cowboy. And, it’s date night! I can’t remember the last time we actually had a date night. Obviously, it’s been way, way too long!

We’ve decided to grab some takeout (or, more likely something reheat-able from the store to save some $$, I have my fingers crossed for lobster mac & cheese, Mmmmmmm!) and then we’re going to decorate our Christmas tree. It’s a good thing too, my dad arrives in 6 days and we’ll be celebrating Christmas with him next weekend. Yikes!

Today is the perfect Friday outfit, skinny jeans, blouse and awesome watch.

T’was chilly out there this morning!

Superhero Cape

Yeah, that’s right, I’m wearing a cape.

How awesome is that?!

Of course it’s another addition from my Express shopping spree. YAY CAPE! :)

I suppose it’s more of a jacket, but it’s freezing cold today (like, really cold) so wearing 2 coats on my walk to work wasn’t too bad – I was just warm enough!

Halfway

Are you getting annoyed by my 2 or 3 times of daily posting with daily wears and #resound11 posts? Please, let me know and I’ll change up how I’m doing things.

There’s something so awesome about waking up on a Wednesday realizing there’s only 2 more work days after Wednesday until the weekend. (Even better? Waking up on Thursday and realizing the next day is Friday!)

For some reason, Wednesday is the most difficult day to dress for. By Wednesday I’m bored of my work outfits (ugh, dress pants, again?!) and just want it to be Friday already. For this reason, I usually pick something fun to wear on a Wednesday. Today it was a tank top with sequins and lace. SO FUN! :)

Cleopatra Dress

Hooray, another package arrived in the mail last night :)

I really do need to get my concierge something for Christmas – I don’t even have to ask if she has a package for me, she just flags me down as I walk in the door.

With winter hoovering around the corner like some creepy guy, I figured my chance to wear this dress was looking like now or never. Thankfully, when I peeked at the forecast on my phone it was 8 degrees! Above freezing! Nearly t-shirt weather!

So the dress it was.

Ahhh. Much much better lighting in my hallway compared to yesterday.
