You know those days when everything is moving along nicely and them WHAM you hit a wall and the rest of your day is shot?

Today has been one of those days for me.

I had a few meetings in the morning that went really well, had a great lunch and then went to check on the status of the new phone I ordered.

WHAM.

Wall.

Due to general incompetence of the company I ordered the phone from (giving me incorrect ordering instructions) I spent over 30 minutes on the phone with said company to have the only resolution be order a new one and wait. Oh, and sorry, we aren’t going to give you any compensation for wasting your time because we’re incompetent and can’t own up to a mistake we made.

Awesome.

*sigh*

Now my day?

Totally derailed.

Yes, I know ordering a new phone is a total first world problem and there are far bigger issues I could be facing. I get it. But this is just an annoyance that I wouldn’t be dealing with if people knew how to properly do their job. Seriously. There’s a phone 32 floors away from me right now and no one (honestly NO ONE) is able to activate it on my account so I have to order a new one.

Since I’ve been feeling negative in general lately, I’ve revived the thankful blog.

The sole purpose is for me to be able to post pictures (mostly daily) of things in my life I’m thankful for.

It’s so easy to be grumpy and bitter over things like waiting (again) for an iPhone 5 – I’m hoping this will help to put life in perspective.
