Another perfect weekend

For the third weekend in a row The Cowboy and I kicked it off with a Friday event. This time it was. CFL game in the cold. I left work early so we could pack our blankets and hop on transit to get to the game on time. Even though I bundled up REALLY well, but the half I was FREEZING – I could barely move my toes! Our team was up 34 to 10 at the half, and playoff seeds had already been decided, so we headed home early.

It’s unfortunate we left early, but I’m a wimp and sure liked having feeling back in my toes! We ended up finishing the game on TV and then I caught up on TV before falling asleep on the couch at 11:30.

I had planned to go to spin class on Saturday morning, but my wrist was still bothering me, so I decided to relax and then prep our condo for a showing in the afternoon. Again, The Cowboy and I decided to combine our showing with some errands and went to the chiropractor and grabbed some groceries on our way back.

We weren’t home form long as we had plans to stop by a friends house. She just moved in on Wednesday and was feeling lonely, so we grabbed some Vietnamese and wine and stopped by. We ended up setting up her washer and dryer (The Cowboy is a pretty handy guy!) and arranging for The Cowboy to help her move some furniture out of her condo today. We stayed until nearly midnight and then decided we should probably head home to bed.

I skipped the gym again (ugh!) this morning, but my wrist finally feels normalish so I’m looking forward to the gym tomorrow night :) . I made another yummy batch of French toast and sat down to work for a few hours. I ended up working for nearly six hours while The Cowboy helped move a bed and get her house set up.

The rest of our afternoon was wonderfully relaxing. My lunches are prepared, we watched some football (I think I’m finally getting into NFL), ate dinner and watched Revenge.

Although I normally try to not work on the weekends, I feel so much less stress after working today. I was able to cross so many items off my “to do” list. I just hope I was able to fix the items my manager wanted. It’s kind of stressful with a picky manager, but I’m truly thankful because I’m learning so so much!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and those of you in the path of Sandy are keeping safe!!
