Back on the workout train

I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve worked out since returning from my Houston trip a month ago.

I definitely haven’t been following the workout plan I put so much time into. My 10k race in 14 days is going to HURT! But dangit – I’m going to run it!

The weather in Calgary also hasn’t been that great (see: shop flooding with 15 inches of water!) and my regular running pathways are closed because the river is flooding the trail.

This week I’m going to try a bit of a different workout – one that I posted in Pinterest (and here!) a while ago, and see how much I hurt afterwards!

Staring Sunday (since that’s the first day of the week, right?) I’m going to try to get this sucker in before I start my day.

What. A. Week!

Wow.

I was completely unprepared for the craziness of this week. As like anything, this blog is the first thing to fall off when things go totally crazy.

Whoops!

Let me give y’all a bit of a rundown of what went on this week…..

Monday

Computer upgrade day at work. Drop laptop off and head home to do some contract work from home for 5 hours while I waited for my new laptop to be ready. Work for a few hours.

After work, gather up camera gear and head out to do a family shoot with 11 people! Directing 11 people is challenging!

Tuesday

Start the day off by considering selling our condo.

Have a 2.5 hour career pathing lunch meeting at work followed by coffee with a friend. And, well, there goes the day!

Head home and starting looking at areas we might want to buy a house. Head out to an awesome new community and look at show homes. Seriously consider putting an offer on this show home, but don’t.

Wednesday

Arrive at work with a message from The Cowboy informing me there is 15 inches of water in his shop!! Take the rest of the day off to deal with cleaning the flooding and figure out the damage. Thankfully it’s not too extensive and we’re hoping the City may cover a portion of it since their storm sewer system caused the back up.

Thursday

Drop Merlin off at the vet to be neutered.

Work, work, work since the previous 3 days have not been productive at all.

Pick Merlin up from the vet and discuss the possibility of heading back to the show homes to confirm the one we want. Look through plans while eating dinner and decide the one house we must have is a long shot as the builder has no more lots available to sell.

Look at a townhouse, but decide it’s not a forever home and we would like a forever home right now. Go visit the show home again to confirm we LOVE it. Find out A LOT JUST CAME AVAILABLE wander through the home and decide to put a hold on the lot so we can price the home!!!!!!!!!!

Uhm.

WHAT?!

There are 101 things that could go wrong in the next 30 days to cause us not to have this house, but we sure are praying. Obviously we went there at the perfect time (someone was looking out for us!) to get the lot since there weren’t any lots on Tuesday.

Bonus?!

We’ll be 6 houses down from one set of friends and across the alley from another!

AHHHHHH!

We’re praying hard and crossing our fingers this works out.

Oh, and it would be SO NICE if the condo would SELL this time too!

Friday

Must remember to work and not look at home-type things at work.

Tonight we’re headed to a housewarming party.

Oh my, what a week!
