Back to Reality

Whenever The Cowboy and I go on vacation, or take time away, I never keep up with reading or writing posts. I’m not sure why, I have TONS of spare time, but we tend to just lay in bed, eat and drink LOTS of wine.

But now it’s back to reality for the two of us.

We had a wonderful getaway, but it was EXPENSIVE. Like, super expensive.

Had we not purchased any wine, we probably could have cut the cost of the vacation in half – but where’s the fun in that?

Now we have to figure out where in the world to put the 40 bottles of wine, 16 bottles of beer and miscellaneous bottles of hard alcohol (lots more about the excellent hard alcohol we found on the photography blog coming up!)

I know I’m referencing the photo-blog a lot more than I used to, but we’re really wanting to grow that business and reach out to our friends, family and clients through that blog, as no on I know IRL really knows about this blog, and I’m happy to keep it that way, so sometimes items will be cross-posted, or sometimes I’ll just reference the photo-blog for a fun post. Apologies if you find this annoying, but I’ve been designated blog-poster-extraordinaire by The Cowboy!

We arrived home last night to find the cats had broken a hand-thrown vase that was a Christmas present from The Cowboy’s parents.

So not impressed.

At all.

Jerks.

Next time we go away? They will be boarded, SO MUCH EASIER than having to have someone come in AND then we come home to a clean house :)

Now that we’re back, and work is normal, April will be my get-my-shit-together month. I’m going to focus on cleaning/organizing one room per weekend including our storage unit for the month and hopefully we’ll finally be organized…….3 years after moving in.
