Day 2 of Health

Considering I’m eating food from home for the rest of the weekend, I’m planning on being super healthy – let’s see if that pans out :)

It won’t be all fun and games this weekend though, I have to do laundry, clean, pack for my week in Toronto and get some runs and yoga in.

I’m also really excited to have Tova and her husband come over for dinner tomorrow. I’m trying out a Thai Peanut Coconut Tofu recipe that should be delish – I’ll update y’all tomorrow!

breakfast

Non-overnight overnight oats. I forgot to make them before we went to see Crazy, Stupid, Love (which I freaking LOVED by the way! Ryan Gosling without a shirt is highly enjoyable and Emma Stone is hilarious!) and didn’t make them when we got home at midnight, so they were slightly watery overnight oats – but still delicious!

lunch

Nothing fancy here, just a super yummy smoothie: yogurt, frozen strawberries, blueberries, mango, spinach, protein powder, skim milk, hemp seeds and chia seeds. So clean fresh and tasty! Served with a side of coconut water to rehydrate from my 6km run.

My new shoes and compression socks have made a HUGE difference in my stride and my shins feel amazing! :) (plus I look super cool in knee socks! The downfall? They didn’t have them in pink)

dinner

Neither one of us wanted to do too much in the way of cooking and we have tons of burgers left over from our Stampede BBQ, so we thawed out some patties and tossed them on the BBQ. Served with goat cheese and sauteed mushrooms. Yeah, we know how to do a burger!

And a beer, of course! :)

But! Before dinner we stopped off at Amato Gelato to kill some time while we had a condo showing. Is there anything better than gelato in the summer?! Oh so good! They have 72 flavours, so we’ll definitely be back!

The Cowboys: grand marnier on top and black currant on the bottom

Mine: blackberry on top and coconut on the bottom

Twofer

I’m trying not to clog up readers and I don’t want to annoy anyone stopping in to read, so instead of posting Thursday and Friday’s outfits separately, I’m combining them today :)

I’ve only worn this top once before – I bought it back in February (I think?) and received lots of compliments the first time I wore it. The second time was no different.

So why do I rarely wear it?

It’s not uncomfortably tight, it’s not revealing and it’s certainly not ugly.

I think I’m going to have to put this top on my regular rotation list considering the ample amount of compliments I receive when wearing it :)

I went a bit out of the box on Friday.

I ordered some super awesome cute tops from Miss Me (don’t worry, it was before the spending hiatus) that arrived earlier this week. I had considered wearing this outfit earlier, but I wasn’t sure if it would be deemed “work appropriate attire”, but spending 12 hours marking exams?!

Totally acceptable attire.

Confession: I purchased 3 plaid flannel shirts. Overkill? Maybe. But also totally rockin’ cute.
