Daily Wears: Meh
This outfit looked so much cuter in my head.
I’m not sure what it is, maybe the way the boots don’t totally go with the dress, or the wrinkly dress, or that I gained 2 pounds over the weekend. Whatever it is, I’m not totally loving it today.

Vacation Countdown
On Thursday The Cowboy and I will be setting off early to drive to our most favourite vacation spot, Kelowna. (you can read about it here, here, here, here, here and here)
I had grand plans for this weekend, we’d find all our camping gear, make sure we had it all and then get it organized. None of that happened. Saturday we went for brunch with friends, bought me a commuter bike (way more awesomer to bike to work on) and went for a 35km ride. Sunday The Cowboy had to go into work and was gone from noon until 11pm. So, no packing was done.
Now it’s Monday and I don’t want to be awake until midnight on Wednesday attempting to pack only to realize we forgot pillows again. (No joke, we forget pillows every single time we go camping.) So, I guess I should make a list, or something. We always buy food once we get there, so thankfully we don’t have to worry much about food, except for car snacks.
Here is a not-even-close-to-exhaustive list of what we need to get done in order to go on vacation:
- Find camping gear. Make sure we have cutlery, towels, dish soap, coffee, french press [The Cowboy doesn't drink coffee, this is a pain while camping, let me tell you], water bottles, BBQ, propane, lantern.
- Pick up: reading light for my Kobo, more propane, new travel mug [my two mugs have started leaking! boo!], hot chocolate for The Cowboy
- Do: swap tires on my mountain bike, see if bikes (and wine!) will fit in the truck, pack clothes [attempt to limit it to 1 small bag each], go to the bank, plan wineries we’ll visit
I’m certain we have a bazillion other things we need to get done as well. Yikes.
We’re staying at a campsite that we stayed at last year, and you have to pay for showers (boo!) but they have bunnies and chickens! I’m sure I’ll spend a ridiculous amount of time having conversations with the bunnies
I’m also still waiting to hear back about the job. I was told Monday or Tuesday, so I continue to wait. Arg. I’m not good with waiting. At all. I keep wavering between, “They hated me.” “They loved me.” “I totally have the job.” “No way they’re hiring me.”
Man. I’m just going to keep praying and keep my fingers crossed!
