Five Question Friday: Pampering Edition

Since I’m home sick for the second day in a row and am feeling sorry for myself (I hate you tonsillitis!) I thought I’d show y’all some of the new products I have to try and paper myself with.

Before I get there, I also think my boss might be frustrated with me. I started this job 4 months ago and have used 5 sick days. Seriously. I am never this sick, I have no idea what’s wrong with me

Bonus? If you read all the way to the end of the post you can all watch a super dorky vlog with my tonsillitis voice about Five Question Friday. I’m not sure why I decided to record a vlog when I hate (hate!) my voice to begin with, so consider yourself special

(Sidebar: I also plan on joining in on the pronunciation fun but that will probably be on Monday when I can swallow without wincing and my voice sounds less like a male from the valley. I’ll probably even do my hair for that one too.)

Hawaii Coconut from Bath & Body Works is my new favourite fragrance. Probably because it’s March and still -25 (Celsius!) here and I’m longing for Spring and Summer. It’s not overly sweet and has a bit of a musk scent to it and I love it. Although the Cowboy says I smell like a cheap whore. I can live with that.

It also comes in a body spray. That REALLY made me happy. I keep both at work. Lotion throughout the day and the spray for when I work out at lunch to cover the, uh, smell.

Bath and Body Works was out of the Hawaii Coconut body scrub, so I bought the next best one, Fiji Passionfruit. I actually despise smelling like food, but this was a really nice light scent.

I’m also a HUGE fan of the Bady & Body Works Aromatherapy line. I was in love with the Lemongrass Verbena Antistress line until it was discontinued.

I find the Vanilla Verbena to be a great replacement. And the label is also adorable. I love the butterflies.

Luckily for my bank account, Bath & Body Works had a buy 2 get 1 free special when I was in. I purchased the lotion

…which is burning beside me right now

and the bath salts which I had a bath with this morning.

I also went to The Body Shop because I needed a new moisturizer. I had a $40 coupon and the were having a buy 2 get 1 free skin care promotion. Not too shabby!

I picked up 3 new products from the Nutriganics line. First up, Nutriganics Smoothing Day Cream

Followed by Nutrigancis Smoothing Eye Cream

And finally, Nutriganics Smoothing Night Cream.

So far I’m loving this new product line. I just pretend I don’t see the First signs of Ageing label on it.

Once I got up to the till I found I had $15 I could spend on products. I was running low on my Moroccan Oil shampoo & conditioner, so I thought I’d try something from The Body Shop.

I’m not a huge fan of the shampoo & conditioner yet. The Rainforest Balance shampoo is fine

But I think the Rainforest Balance conditioner might not be conditioning enough. I’ll keep using it for a while and will see.
